  • Keep WP:PROFESSOR says that a professor is notable if they "hold or has held a named chair appointment". Named, as in like the "Henry Putnam University Professor of Philosophy". WP:PROFESSOR also says that a professor is notable if they have "received a highly prestigious academic award or honor at a national or international level". Like, say, giving the John Locke Lectures which thus 'umble encyclopedia says are "one of the world's most prestigious academic lecture series". Given these two facts are included clearly in the article, I do find it rather strange that the article has been nominated for deletion. —Tom Morris (talk) 13:08, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
