Sorry for the delay, something came up that I had to take care of. It looks like you did some reformatting as well as copy editing, but you missed a couple things. See here and here for my copy edits. There were a few issues with commas, tone, and capitalization, as you can tell. But you did do a good first job. Hello Glacialfox, I see that you asked me a question on November 9th. I apologize, I just now noticed the question. There are three ways to revert to a non-vandalized revision when there are multiple vandalism edits in succession. If the edits are all by the same editor, you can use rollback to revert all of the editor's consecutive changes. If there are several vandalism revisions from several users, there are other reversal methods. The easiest way is to use twinkle's "Restore this revision" button that appears when you click on a Diff. To manually revert a group of consecutive vandalism edits, click on the history tab. On the history tab, there is a timestamp for each revision. Click on the latest timestamp prior to the vandalism edits. When you click on the timestamp, it will bring up that version of the article. Now, click on the "edit" button. A warning should appear at the top of the edit window with this message:

If you click the save button, it will revert all changes made after that revision. To answer the second part of your question, if a single editor keeps vandalizing an article, you can report them to Administrator intervention against vandalism after you have warned them four times. If the article is vandalized by multiple editors continuously, you can request the article be semi-protected by filing a request at Request for page protection. I hope that answers your question. Changing quoted text

Hi. I've reverted your recent edit to Liberties Act 1850. The word you changed was part of a blockquote, and changes of this sort should only be made with care (especially when dealing with older source texts), such as when the source text has been inaccurately reproduced, or if it perhaps contains a blatant typographical error (such as "teh" for "the"). In this case, the source text clearly uses "unfrequently"; while not a common word, it is nevertheless listed in the OED, and appears twice in the same paragraph in the source text (which admittedly wasn't obvious due to errors in the blockquote). Warning vandals on Zooey Deschanel

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Zooey Deschanel: you may already know about them, but you might find Misplaced Pages:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. About barnstars:

Glacialfox, not to sound like a barnstar fisher: I think it might be cool if you designed a star and proposed it for the purpose you were thinking. I do not expect to see a barnstar; only, this is too good an issue not to be raised and if you do, you must also propose what the star should look like. I did it with the Quasar Barnstar. Oh, well I proposed that it be for editors who assist other editors in sailing Wikiwaters. Any editor who clarifies and explains rules, or improves the rules themselves at the proper forum to do so. If you think about it, anyone who assists, cleans up, does nice things, excellent editing, nearly infinite reasons to award it. Glad you like it, another fine editor designed it for me. Well I have a query: do you know user CeilingCrash? That user left a weird and somewhat inappropriate message to me at my talk, claiming I edit the Asperger article and making insulting remarks about Misplaced Pages editors. I do not recognise that user, I have never been near or even seen the AS artilce or its talk page. Do you know about this at all by chance? Or know the editor? I just noticed this thread when I saw the "hot sexy" IP's comment. Regarding I blame igloo - I hate to be nit picky but when you use tools, you have to accept 100 percent responsibility for your edits. If igloo, AWB etc has some kind of glitch or whatever, it's your responsibility to be that much more careful. I notice you have like two years worth of editing in eight weeks. Misplaced Pages, on the contrary, is the enshrinement of contempt for learning, knowledge and expertise. It is, for many, a diversionary hobby to which they are prepared to devote a great portion of their time, as others do to computer based video games. Unfortunately, it has led also to an inner cult, shrouded in anonymity, with structures and processes of self-regulation that are woefully inadequate. Many of these tools and procedures are reminiscent, in parody, of those of the Inquisition: secret courts, an inner “elite” arbitrarily empowered to censor and exclude all those perceived as a threat to the adopted conventions of the cult; denunciations, character assassination, excommunication. An arbitrarily concocted “rulebook” and language rife with self-referential sanctimoniousness give a superficial illusion of order and good sense, but no such thing exists in practice. It is truly a “Tyranny of the Ignorant”.
