:Your advocacy is such that I'm convinced you shouldn't be editing an encyclopedia that's read by the masses. Your aims are opposed to illustrating the general assessment of ideas by the consensus of those in the scientific community. You may not like that consensus and think it's unfounded or narrow-minded, but fighting against that on Misplaced Pages is misguided and I have no compunction with opposing editors who act the way you are acting. I will also continue to encourage others on Misplaced Pages to oppose your efforts. ] (]) 16:32, 8 December 2011 (UTC) |

The jigger they come...
Just shooting by with an old-fashioned thank you. I appreciate your contributions to the uphill task of keeping physics subjects free of trash. Cheers! Binksternet (talk) 01:31, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
List of UFO sightings
...is a worse article than UFO by far. Just scrolling though it you'll come upon many instances of dramatized fantasy written as fact, e.g.: "1953-06 Otis AFB: A U.S Air Force radar operator and pilot bailed out over Otis Air Force Base because of engine failure, after chasing a UFO. Plane and operator never seen again, though pilot lives and the canopy was the only remnant recovered." - Source? Back issues of a UFO journal, of course! LuckyLouie (talk) 22:51, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
- It doesn't seem hard to just go through and remove all that. Why not do it? 128.59.171.194 (talk) 23:14, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

Middle ground
The AfD closed with a keep. I will continue the discussion here ...
- "Middle-ground" between the ignored and the ignorers on Misplaced Pages is, essentially, to the exclusion of the ignored. See WP:WEIGHT and WP:FRINGE. (I know, I know, you're convinced that cold fusion/LENR/CANR/perpetual motion is not "FRINGE" but you've been spectacularly unsuccessful in convincing anyone outside of your own little group of cold fusion compatriots of this.) Good luck with your continued activism. 128.59.171.194 (talk) 16:21, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
You are wrong in assuming that I am convinced that Cold fusion is not FRINGE. Anything which is not mainstream science is fringe, thus CF is fringe. There is not wrong with good old FRINGE. You have no ability to differentiate as per Misplaced Pages:FRINGE/PS#Pseudoscience_and_other_fringe_theories
You are wrong in assuming that any editor mentioning cold fusion in WP is automatically guilty of promotion as per Misplaced Pages:FRINGE/PS#Unwarranted_promotion_of_fringe_theories. I am not misusing WP to self publish my original research. I am not a fringe theory inventor.

- Would that your above protestations of neutrality aligned with your previous actions. This is as good an example as any of the problems I've seen coming from your account. Maybe you've learned something in the last few weeks, but the manner in which you pontificate in that link and elsewhere on this site makes me think it likely you will never admit to being wrong — an all-too-common ailment of those who are sympathetic to the claims of the cold fusion advocates. It's no matter; just be aware that the history of Misplaced Pages is full of your types ending up on the wrong end of a banhammer. 128.59.171.194 (talk) 15:19, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Do you really think that you slanderous comments in the AfD really help the situation, can YOU admit to being wrong ? If you dig deep enough in the archives you will also find editors just like you who got themselves into trouble. btw, have you already done checkuser on me ? --POVbrigand (talk) 16:45, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- "Slanderous" comments? Deep breaths, POVbrigand. It's only a website. 128.59.171.194 (talk) 17:12, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
this is what happened:
You felt sorry for the way an editor was treated after he grievously insulted
here (edit comment), here (edit comment), here (edit comment), and here
Those insults came after he reported himself for this incivility
The editor was blocked (06:47 29nov) from further wrongdoing, but was unblocked (16:26 29nov) a mere 10 hours later.
The editor didn't even show remorse. He wasn't allowed to further participate in the AfD discussion.
Apparently all this lead you to believe that insulting the 'keep' voters in the AfD was necessary and you were praised for you conduct for "keeping physics subjects free of trash.".
You have insulted me several times. Now you think you can walk away from it by trivializing it to "it's only a website".
You still think you are on the right side, because those who you were insulting were FRINGE POV-pushers.
You are completely wrong.
That is how I perceive you. --POVbrigand (talk) 10:11, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
