Shortcuts WP:RFPP WP:RFP WP:RPP Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Long-term semi-protection please. It's the beginning of the school year, and frequent vandalism by elementary and high-school students is beginning again. For this reason, semi-protection has long been the status quo on this article. I would be wary about this user's future requests on protecting certain pages; it seems he is far more concerned with making sure nothing gets changed without his approval rather then improving articles themselves, nevermind talking about it. 68.215.155.80 (talk) 07:15, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

The user removing sourced content and replacing with POV, arguing that other users are "illiterate", "users can go back to history", "travel to travancore".etc without giving any references at all. semi-protection This page is continually edited by a group trying to promote the POV that they are the only authority over the martial art of Shou' Shu'. This has been an ongoing concern since the grand masters death in 2002. The group claims that all other practitioners are without credibility and continually tries to discredit anyone outside of their organization. They promote themselves as the only "true lineage". I am a member of the board of directors of the International Shou' Shu' Association. Temporary semi-protection, Two problems here, both originating from a variety of IP address (although possibly all the same person). First, occasional vandalism is definitely appearing. Second, a variety of different names have been proposed for subjects long term partner, but no citation has verified any of them. Per WP:BLP I believe such personal info needs a cite. Declined Recurring issues maybe, but that doesn't warrant full protection since there doesn't seem to be an edit war; in fact I'm not going to even semi-protect because if by "recurring issues" you meant continued vandalism that gets lost in subsequent edits, there's little vandalism these days so you might as well take your time to fix it.
