Tim Berners-Lee

Hi. Please do not add unsourced material to articles, as you did to Tim Berners-Lee. If you feel that material is legitimate, then please include a reliable, verifiable source for it in the text per WP:V and WP:CS. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 19:13, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Seems pretty self-explanatory. You added unsourced material to an article. I reverted it and asked you not to do this, as per WP:V and WP:BLP, as indicated above. Seeing as how you added it yet again, I need to ask you not to do this. It violates Misplaced Pages policy. Nightscream (talk) 23:28, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
It doesn't matter. You didn't cite that biography for his birth information, which is required by WP:V, WP:BLP and WP:CS. Which aspect of this are you disputing? It doesn't matter if it's in one of the 25 citations listed under the Notes section, nor does it matter if it's "on the web". "Unsourced" does not mean "it doesn't exist", nor does it mean "It's not in any of the sources that are cited elsewhere in the article." "Unsourced" means that you did not explicitly indicate the source for the specific piece of information you added. Since you've been editing since December 2004, and have amassed over 6,000 edits, you should know this by now. You don't add a url in an edit summary or on someone's talk page, you add it to the passage in question. Consider this your final warning. The next time you violate WP:V by adding unsourced information to an article, you will be blocked. Nightscream (talk) 02:30, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Thomas Cochrane

You have the wrong date and Wiki syntax for his death date and age. I tried to fix it but I am too unfamiliar with the syntax to do it. His date of death was 31 October 1860, and his age at death was 85. Regards, Acad Ronin (talk) 00:18, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
