You have been cautioned by {{user|Vassyana}} to be careful to avoid . You have been pushing on this one pretty hard and it might be a good idea to step back, take a breather and take a break for a bit. Cheers, ''']''' (]) 13:59, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Permission for images

Hi Jayen, I find the documentation on what to do after obtaining permission for images confusing. Is this right: User talk:Esowteric#Saira Elizabeth Luiza Shah image ? Cheers, EricT (talk) 13:39, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Re Safia Shah image: cheers. Will see if I've got the SEL Shah procedure right first, otherwise I might have two cock-ups on the go :) EricT (talk) 14:48, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, have just sent TS a grant form for SEL Shah image. Hopefully getting there after several botched attempts. As a newbie, what threw me was this: Wikipedia_talk:Example_requests_for_permission#No_mention_of_grant_form. Cheers, EricT (talk) 10:11, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

OTRS is pending, though there may be a delay -- 1500 pending images currently queued and only 25 OTRS volunteers. EricT (talk) 13:07, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, well :D ... on the other hand, if you've got spare time on your hands ... sounds like they could do with some help ;-) Cheers, Jayen466 13:31, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Done Sorted, thanks. EricT (talk) 13:44, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations for your sense of humor

Hello, Jayen466. At last I find someone in Misplaced Pages with a sense of humor, your jokes of Nasrudin are very good. Perhaps you know that an old yoga rule to tell a true guru from a false one is that Gurus who have no sense of humor and always speak in a grave, serious, or angry ad neve use humour way cannot be true. I will tell you my favourite joke about intellectuals, heard from Prem Rawat: "An intellectual is a person who always think he's right and the other guy is wrong, even if the other guy says the same". Of course there are also humble intellectuals, this is only a joke. I would gladly add a well deserved star for your sense of humor to your page, if I knew how to do it. Best regards.--Pedrero (talk) 11:58, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. As you enjoy them, here is another one:

One day the King decided that he would force all his subjects to tell the truth.
A gallows was erected in front of the city gates. A herald announced, "Whoever would enter the city must first answer the truth to a question which will be put to him."
Nasrudin was first in line. The captain of the guard asked him, "Where are you going? Tell the truth – the alternative is death by hanging."
"I am going," said Nasrudin, "to be hanged on that gallows."
"I don't believe you."
"Very well, if I have told a lie, then hang me!"
"But that would make it the truth!"
"Exactly," said Nasrudin, "YOUR truth."

In fact, I think I should add that one as well. :-) As for barnstars, see Misplaced Pages:Barnstars. They are usually placed on a user's talk page, and proud recipients then transfer them to their user page. Cheers, Jayen466 12:24, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Vijay Prashad

Hello Jayen, I request your help and guidance to edit the article on Vijay Prashad within Wiki rules. Kindly monitor it and let me know where I or somebody else might be overstepping the boundaries set by Misplaced Pages. I wish to edit according to Wiki rules but being new and am not always aware of them. I would appreciate your help. Regards --Satyashodak (talk) 17:59, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Ok, will do. I think it looks okay now. At least we have the basic facts, including that he is a Marxist. In general, try to find secondary sources, i.e. sources that speak about Prashad. Avoid quoting Prashad directly at length, unless he is quoted at similar length in some source published by another author commenting on him. See WP:PSTS. Cheers, Jayen466 12:13, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Need some help with citations

Hello there. I'm not sure if you've been following the article at all, but I've been making some extensive edits to Scientology. Mainly removal of primary sources, but also some copyediting and removing deceptive or otherwise ambiguous material. Right now, the article is in need of some sources to fill in for all the s (there's at least 25 of them). If you're up for it, I'd appreciate whatever you could to bring to the table. Thanks! Spidern 18:49, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. It's a huge topic and a huge amount of literature to cover ... but getting the primary-source stuff out is a good beginning. I've commented on the Scn Project assessment page as well as your talk page, outlining my ideas for how the article could grow. Cheers, Jayen466 22:09, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Maps

I replied here: Misplaced Pages:Neutral_point_of_view/Noticeboard#ATTENTION_ALL:_Map_of_India. There are some updates to the tainted map. If this issue occurs, maybe we could place a request at Misplaced Pages:Graphic Lab to have it fixed. =Nichalp «Talk»= 19:13, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Incorrect assumptions and personal focus in your comments

Cirt then incorporated it here instead, hoping to make this an overview article, with Homosexuality and Scientology as a sub-article. This is a wholly inappropriate and incorrect assumption as to my research/thought process. You have no idea as to what I was "hoping" to do by contributing to the article Scientology and sex. It is also inappropriate to focus your comments solely on one particular editor in the AfD discussion. Please refactor. Thank you, Cirt (talk) 04:31, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

My apologies, I thought I had caught your intent; it would make sense, if there were other sources. Jayen466 04:33, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Please be more careful in the future. Thank you. Cirt (talk) 04:50, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Please

Have a look on p chart.
