John Popper of Blues Traveler

John Popper is the frontman for the band Blues Traveler. He performs harmonica and vocals.

He frequently works as a guest musician for other bands.

Popper also played on the Spin Doctors' most successful album, Pocketful of Kryptonite, and dubbed some of the harmonica in the movie Blues Brothers 2000 (in which Blues Traveler appears). His harmonica was also featured on "What Would You Say," the second track on the Dave Matthews Band album, Under the Table and Dreaming.

John Popper was obese for most of the band's history, but in recent years, he opted for gastric bypass surgery which lead to a dramatic weight reduction.

John Popper is an outspoken supporter of the Libertarian Party.
