Hello, Light Defender, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions so far. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

- How to edit a page

- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
Take a look at Consensus of standards. It is always wise to read the talk page of an existing article before making major changes on it, to see if your idea has already been discussed. Even then, it is often helpful to suggest a major change before making it, to see if anyone objects or wants to discuss it. Do not delete materials on other people's talk pages or on the talk pages of articles.
When you contribute to a talk page, please sign your name using four tildes: ~ ~ ~ ~ but without the spaces.
Again, welcome! -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:18, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
A new start
Dear Light Defender, Thanks for your e-mail. Misplaced Pages is a difficult place for newbies, especially when they start out by editing an article about something in which they have a personal stake, because it can become... very personal. No offense taken. It may interest you to know that I have made over 20,000 edits on British musical theatre articles, although my specialty here has been British musicals prior to 1920, especially Edwardian musical comedies and Gilbert and Sullivan. I have added (or substantially added to) pretty much everything there is on Misplaced Pages about British musical theatre from 1860 to 1920, other than music hall, including adding hundreds of articles on the subject. I have also edited articles about more modern musicals, but without focusing specifically on British ones, and you are certainly more current on the musical theatre scene in Britain today than I am. -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:18, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Never Forget
Messages about the Never Forget Article:
Er, now that I've introduced myself, let me repeat a couple pieces of advice from yesterday: Misplaced Pages's mission depends on verifiability: See WP:V. WP:RS tells you what references one can use, and WP:CITE explains about how to cite the references in articles. Since you may be working on musicals articles, please see Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Musical Theatre/Article Structure. This is the page that explains what information can go into these kinds of articles. For instance, unfortunately, we do not include the entire creative team (see the changes I am about to make at Never Forget), and we do not list the ensemble members' names. If you like, I can go into detail as to why this is so, but the short story is that the information in the article should be of importance to a general reader in 10 or 20 years. See WP:NOT. Feel free to discuss any issues at the WP:MUSICALS talk page. Remember, any change that is made on Misplaced Pages can be undone, so if you disagree with what another editor does, bring it up on an appropriate talk page, and maybe you can persuade the other editors of your point of view. Often, though, issues have been discussed before and decided by a consensus of editors. Best regards, and Happy Editing! -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:18, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Please read WP:OWN
You don't have an article, once it is on wikipedia, it belongs to the community - read WP:OWN. For whatever reason, you are attempting to whitewash articles to remove the fact that Take that have nothing to do with the musical. You have been reported here and I expect you to be blocked shortly. We don't do adverts so get that into your head. --87.113.116.129 (talk) 09:17, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Please read about vandalism
Vandalism is when people intentionally add incorrect material to articles or removed sourced material from articles. I have added sourced material (sourced to the times) to an article - who do you think is actually conducting vandalism according to the rules we use here at wikipedia, hint: it's not me. --87.114.150.200 (talk) 09:28, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
