Atif Aslam

Hi, Thanks for contributing to Atif Aslam page. I saw your Refimprove and Advertisement tag on this page. Please help me in identifying the sentences which make you feel that this article lacks nuetral POV and I will work to correct them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anshuk (talkcontribs) 07:40, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I didn't get any response from you after waiting for 3 days. I am taking out the Advertisement template which you placed on this page. Anshuk (talk) 09:24, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey sorry about that - have been busy in real life, and dealing with disruptive editors here on Misplaced Pages - I will get back to your question some other time. The Atif Aslam article is looking a lot better than it did a while ago. Sfacets 09:27, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the encouragement. Yeah I can see why you are busy. All the best. Anshuk (talk) 09:39, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Edit warring on talk pages

Please don't edit war with another user on his talk page. If he wants to refactor his page then let him. If you think that putting a username in a section header is a personal attack then you have changed your opinion recently. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 09:00, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes, but I'm not changing content on talk pages made by other editors, am I? Sfacets 09:13, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the SEO Edit

I am new but I know about SEO field, never heard of this guy and Googled for him, zip.

So left a message for Jehochman‎, but you cleane dit..:) Thanks Igor Berger (talk) 02:07, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Where SImon goes when he cannot argue his point

From User talk:Will Beback

"It's getting to the point where the page needs some sort of protection and/or mediation. A group of co-religionists are using their numbers to push through POV structure, POV wording and removal of sourced material. I have spent hours discussing my edits with Sfacets but he just refuses to get the point, just keeps on saying the same things over and over, ignoring requests for sources, keeping discussions going long after it is clear he doesn't have a leg to stand on, making unreasonable demands that whole sections of books be typed out for his perusal, etc. This is just sham discussion to block the edits of others while he pushes through with his own. --Simon D M (talk) 13:00, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Simon, despite my continual patience at answering his questions (answers which he then ignores, see discussion page) seeks help to persue his POV, once using up his revert quota for the day. Sfacets 13:06, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Request for Simon to stop posting bogus/fake/illogical warnings on my talk page

Please stop inserting bogus warnings on my talk page Simon. Sfacets 13:18, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

As you well know, it is valid, it is for this diff: http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=User:Sfacets&diff=prev&oldid=173876528 --163.119.105.27 (talk) 13:35, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Please stop Simon, you are behaving like a London Business Schoolboy. Sfacets 13:36, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

I again reverted your latest attack - I am not threatening/harassing anyone - that link is for my personal reference. Sfacets 14:16, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Also it is ironic that I hadn't disclosed anyone's identity either - but perhaps you have with your warnings. Sfacets 14:21, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Please stop vandalizing my discussion page Simon. Sfacets 14:29, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Your behaviour is infantile. Please stop it now. Sfacets 14:44, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Visitors: Simon is referring to this link, which I have posted to my userpage. I am not using it to attack the user, nor did I disclose anyone's identity. Sfacets 14:56, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Your link

Sfacets, there is pretty clear consensus that linking direct to defamatory content on other editors is problematic. It's quite clear from the formatting, tone and prior edits that you are using this link to pursue and personalise a content dispute outside of Misplaced Pages. We have several policies, including WP:NPA and WP:HARASS which prohibit such behaviour, and at least two arbitration cases which also say this is a problem. Please do not continue to reinsert this link. If you have a problem with an individual editor, there is a dispute resolution process you can use. Thanks, Guy (Help!) 13:35, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

It isn't intended as harassment, or as a personal attack, it is only posted on my user page as personal reference. I make no reference to the linked website or the link anywhere else. Sfacets 13:49, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

I have read the policies, and nowhere is it written that I am not allowed to insert a link for personal reference. If you can prove me wrong by citing relevant policy, then please do so, however as a matter of principle, I will re-insert the link. Sfacets 14:28, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Look at it this way: you've now been asked nicely by a few people not to include that link, and see Misplaced Pages talk:Linking to external harassment as well; why are you so insistent on including it? If it's for your personal reference, then use your browser's shortcuts. Misplaced Pages is not a social networking site. You might consider linking to the root of your site instead. Guy (Help!) 15:07, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

As far as I am aware, there is no policy prohibiting me from adding links to my User page. The link is simple reference, as I have stated. Also it isn't my site. Sfacets 23:36, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

You've never said what reference the link serves. WP:NOT#LINK. If you want the link on a publicly available website you might try del.icio.us. Regardless of your intent, the link is to a harassing webpage that serves no encyclopedic purpose. Please take it down and don't restore it. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 03:24, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

From WP:NOT: "Misplaced Pages articles are not: Mere collections of external links" - this isn't an article, this is my User space. The link isn't for the purpose of harassing anyone, nor have I made any assertions that the subject of the linked article corresponds to an editor here on wikipedia. I see no reason why I should remove the link.Sfacets 03:38, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

What encyclopedic purpose does it serve? ·:· Will Beback ·:· 06:02, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't have to answer that. Sfacets 06:10, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
