Greater Nassau County NY lists

Howdy, some rearranging has been done recently on different lists for Nassau County, NY. Two new sublists have been created: National Register of Historic Places listings in Long Beach, New York, and National Register of Historic Places listings in Glen Cove, New York. Can someone get these lists added into the Progress list, so the counts are back up to date? Thanks, 25or6to4 (talk) 16:18, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Eaton Fire

Looks like many NRHP properties in Altadena, California were affected, damaged or destroyed. Among them are Christmas Tree Lane, Farnsworth Park, Woodbury-Story House, Andrew McNally House, Scripps Hall (California), Zane Grey Estate. There may be more. Is there someone who can verify the status of these and other properties Einbierbitte (talk) 16:13, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

Aside from what's made the news about them, I suspect it will be a while before any editors can verify what's still standing on the ground, as all of Altadena is still under evacuation orders. (That and the situation there is bad enough that historic buildings are very far down on the list of priorities, but I suppose that goes without saying.) The news has covered some of those sites, though; I know the McNally House and Farnsworth Park were destroyed, and Christmas Tree Lane suffered damage. TheCatalyst31 00:32, 12 January 2025 (UTC)

Villa Carlotta, Case Study House 20, and Christmas Tree Lane survived . Keyes Bungalow, Valentine Cottage B, Woodbury-Story, and Pacific Electric Substation 8 are the remaining unknowns. Teemu08 (talk) 20:35, 15 January 2025 (UTC)

Update: Woodbury-Story House survived with only minor damage. Pacific Electric Railway Company Substation No. 8 is marked as destroyed, although I think that this is an error since it sure seems to be still standing . Other two still not surveyed. Teemu08 (talk) 18:02, 16 January 2025 (UTC)

Landmarks and local institutions damaged or destroyed in LA fires is an "in-progress list of notable places reported damaged or destroyed by the Palisades and Eaton fires". Also LA Conservancy is compiling "historic places impacted by the Los Angeles County fires". Schazjmd (talk) 20:52, 15 January 2025 (UTC)

Uploading multiple images to HR listings

In the past I have been able to simultaneously upload multiple images to HR listings.

When I recently tried to upload multiple images to the Star Cash Grocery Store and Residence listing in the National Register of Historic Places listings in Douglas County, Kansas it only allowed me to upload a single photo and it didn't copy over the title of the photo.

I did not finish the upload because I did not want to end up adding the rest of the photos manually or one by one.

Can anyone tell me whether something has changed? What do I need to do to again be able to upload multiple photos to one listing?

@SharonPapierdreams: Are you running into the issue over on Commons? Looks like there's a snafu with multiple-image uploads over there right now. Indiana Landmarks photographs from Indiana Memory

The latest round of DPLA uploads over at Commons has included a significant batch of images of landmarks from Indiana Memory - my search indicates something like 6,000. I've created a category to house them over on Commons, which I'm currently populating.
